Multi-Channel Menu Photography Refresh
Role: Creative Lead
Core Domain: Food Photography & Visual Identity Refresh, High-Volume Studio Production, Print & Digital Brand Ecosystem
User Journey Scope: Multi-Channel Brand Alignment (Print Menu Interception & In-Restaurant Dining → Web & Mobile E-Commerce Ordering)
Executive Summary
To modernize IHOP’s visual presence and elevate appetite appeal across every guest touchpoint, IHOP initiated a massive, comprehensive refresh of its core food photography. The goal was to replace outdated menu imagery with vibrant, high-impact photography across all print and digital properties.
As Creative Lead, I led the end-to-end creative strategy and execution for this high-volume production initiative. I selected and partnered with the lead photographer, defined visual concepts to secure client buy-in, and directed the month-long photoshoot that successfully produced over 120 standardized, high-quality menu images. The updated imagery refreshed IHOP’s in-restaurant print menus, digital ordering platforms, social channels, and national marketing collateral.
